In reading we started a class novel study over Charlotte's Web. It is a classic tale that has great vocabulary and a familiar story plot. The kids are enjoying reading the novel and look forward to comparing it to the movie toward the end of the year.
This coming Thursday is our field trip to the Prairie Fire Natural History Museum. Please remember to send a sack lunch and drink with your child on Thursday. If you are a parent who has volunteered to attend please report to the classroom by 8:30 to go over groups, and the agenda for the day. We will load the bus at 8:45 and leave Tongie about 9:00. We will return to school around 2:00 p.m. Parents who are attending, please remember you will need to pay the $5.50 entry fee upon arriving at the museum. You will also need a sack lunch and drink. Jackie Schooler and Casey Wilson are the parents whose names were drawn to ride the bus. All other parents will need to drive or carpool to the museum.
April 22nd the third grade will travel to the Tonganoxie Fairgrounds for the annual FFA Farm Day. The high school FFA class works hard during the year preparing a memorable day for the third graders. Our class spelling test will be on Thursday upon returning from our field trip.
